After their escape from Auschwitz on 7 April 1944, Rudolf Vrba (Walter Rosenberg) and Alfred Wetzler wrote a report on the camp. The report elaborate detailed descriptions of the operations in the crematoria and the gass chambers, the transport arrivals in the camp, the organization and population and numbers of inmates that were either killed or still lived in the camp
